Setup is easy as you wash the steamer trays before using, fill up the reservoir with water (level indicator is on the front of the unit), setup the manual timer and watch the steam teach your vegetables a lesson by softening them up and making them nice and edible. It is a simple design, but it works well.Frozen vegetables took ~15 minutes, fresh carrots about 10.

I purchased this steamer after our old vegetable steamer finally bit the dust. My wife and I didn't need more than a single-tier steamer, but I could not find one anymore, so I purchased this two-tier steamer. The steamer is big and has plenty of room for steaming pretty much anything you like. We use it mainly to steam cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots. It's easy to clean and operate.My only complaint with this steamer is the built-in timer. The timer dial cannot be dialed back if you accidentally turn it beyond your desired time. So, if you do so, the timer cannot be adjusted, and you will have to mentally keep track of when to take out the food while the timer continues to run its course for whatever the set time was. It's annoying, especially if you're used to a timer that was specifically designed to be turned past the desired time and then turned back to it like our old steamer was. Also, the numbers on the timer are very small and difficult to read.Overall, if you're cautious with the timer, this is a very good steamer at a very reasonable price. If it lasts as long as our prior steamer did, it should last a very long time.

It was a great purchase. I have used it to steam different kinds of vegetables and I have even tried my hand at chicken and seafood. It is a wonderful product. I am very pleased with it. It came with a book of instructions and was specific to some different types of foods. This was very helpful. I am still learning about the amount time it takes for different foods as it varies. There was no assembly required and it is very easy to use. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an easier way to eat healthy.
