Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Let me start by saying, this is a very easy kit to install if you have right tools. The kit comes with very good wall anchors and heavy duty hex screws. The wall mount base is made of hard plastic that's very thick and sturdy amd super simple to install. However, I've struggled a bit with the drilling part. I have all the right power tools, power drill, impact screw driver with universal hex adaptor, but I'm missing a very important accessory, which is a 5/8" mason drill bit. I only have 3/8" drill bit so there was no way for the wall anchor to be inserted. I spent almost 20 minutes just to widen the drilled holes from 3/8" to 5/8" wide. After those holes had the right size, everything else was easy. Took less than 5 minutes after that to complete the hook up. The connecting hose to the water outlet is about 6 ft long and very plexible. The actual watering hose itself is also plexible and comes with a good spray head. Pulling the hose out or retract it into place is easy. This is a much needed item for my garden as my current hose is bad and it's clustering my yard as well.

This is a very nice hose reel unit. It is extremely easy to install and the retractable hose works as intended. The hose feels thick and should be good for a very long time. I really like that you can remove the unit from the wall bracket as I am in New York and it gets freezing cold and love the option of removing it so it doesnt freeze and damage the retractable base.Water flow is solid, tho I did not use the hose nozzle included as I have one already that I feel is of higher quality.Overall extremely pleased with it, just love how well it helps organize my back yard so well and swivels with relative ease. Just make sure you have the proper drilling heads since you will need to drill pretty deep holes into the side of your house.

When I received the hose rose I was not disappointed at all as it matched the description by the manufacturer. It is a very study well designed product. I was thinking about purchasing this for a while. I looked at many different types and brands. I ended up with this one due to the many features it offers. I was so tired of my manual hose reel. I felt as if I were fighting with it every step of the way. I need a long hose reach. This hose is 65’ plus and extra 7’ at the hookup. We tried it out and had a successful trial. We are in winter here so only used it a few times before we put it into the garage. Our experience with it was fine. It has a 180° swivel that allows a bigger area of use. You need to use smooth movement with it or it gets a bit stuck. Once you figure out how to use it you are good to go. It comes with a substantial nozzle that offers 7 patterns. I will use stronger hardware than supplied to make sure it stays installed in my brick wall. I am also planning to use this in my home to fill my aquarium. This is possible due to the long length and fluid release. I am looking forward to much less hard work rolling and unrolling my hose.

It is fairly heavy and needs to be mounted to a Very solid post or wall plus you will be pulling on it to use. It retracts at a reasonable speed to make sure it coils correctly but the jury is still out on its reliability after a couple of years. The sprayer that comes with it should be replaced because it does not allow enough water to get thru and shortens the spray distance significantly. The hose tends to kink somewhat because it is not 3/4" but if it were you couldn't get 65 feet on that reel. Give and take.

Hose diameter does restrict some of the water pressure. The hose auto feed for unwinding and winding up works with no problem. I am careful to watch and do it a moderate pace so hose does not get bound up. Wall attachment is sturdy only wish locking pin was more solidly made. No problems yet good price for the product sold. I would buy it again.

The smith dispensing and retraction of the hose and ease of installation. What I did not like was the five minutes or so that it took to align the hose and wall bracket. The pivot peg should be made with a chamfered end for ease of alignment. Otherwise a great product. John.

Updated: The seller at least stands by the product and gave me a full refund.Came with a pinched and damaged hose and covered in/leaking machine oil. The quality is less than the AMES reel I bought for our other faucet, but is functional so far.

This unit was mounted outside near water tanks that we use for our farm's spraying station. We often need to spray things off and wash hands. This works perfect for keeping the hose so we can get it where it's needed and not being in the way. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a hose reel.
