Determined not to compromise the sound quality of the SP1000, Astell & Kern has developed the A-ultima SP1000M to be more portable, but still have the highest quality audio. The ‘M’ encompasses the directions that the SP1000M s to pursue: Mini – smaller than the SP1000, weighing just 203g, Mobility – more portable, Maximum – produces the highest-quality audio, Mania – for users who have a mania for original sound, Mate – perfect for anywhere and anytime and Moment – Listeners are present with the music. The Astell & Kern A-ultima SP1000M uses the latest AK4497EQ dual-DAC and updated CPU. This allows for the accurate playback of native 32bit/384kHz audio without compromising sound quality – the music is played back just as it was intended. The SP1000M also supports native bit-to-bit playback up to 11.2MHz. Equipped with an octa-core CPU, the SP1000M can produce the exact musical detail present in the original without distortion, as well as operating quickly and lag-free. Using the same intuitive user interface used in the SP1000, the SP1000M enables users to control the device more easily and conveniently. The SP1000M uses an Open APP Service, enabling installation of specific APK music streaming apps to the device. For faster charging and quicker file transfer, the SP1000M supports next generation USB Type-C. With the same cable, files can be transferred at speeds up to 10Gbps and the device can be charged. When using a fast charger (9V/1.67A), a full charge takes 3 hours and allows up to 10 hours of continuous playback. The SP1000M has an internal memory of 128GB, compared to the 256GB memory of the bigger SP1000. MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) delivers the sound of the original master .
