GENERAL DESCRIPTION “SALMON STAR” IS A SHORTER VARIETY OF ORIENTAL LILY THAT HAS SALMON PETALS WITH A NICE CORAL STRIPE DOWN THE CENTRE AND ORANGE SPECKLES. ITS UNIQUE COLOUR REALLY HIGHLIGHTS ANY OTHER FLOWERS GROWN WITH IT OR ALONG SIDE IT THIS VERY FRAGRANT BEAUTY IS A MUST. “SALMON STAR” IS HARDY ENOUGH FOR THE BORDER, PRETTY ENOUGH FOR THE BED AND SMALL ENOUGH FOR THE CONTAINER AND EVEN MAKES AN EXCELLENT CUT FLOWER. THE “ORIENTAL” HYBRIDS WERE RAISED FROM JAPANESE SPECIES. THEIR MID TO LATE SUMMER BLOOMS OPEN INTO ELEGANT STARS AND THE WHORLED LEAVES ARE BROADER THAN THOSE OF THE OTHER HYBRIDS.
