Dell Latitude E7450 14" Laptop Computer, Intel Dual Core i5-5300U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, Windows 10 Pro (Renewed)

So the laptop showed up on time. It was very well packed and secured during shipping and that pleased me so it could not be jostled around. Upon opening I haven't wiped anything off and I took pictures so it's as is how I received it. The charger is in excellent condition it's been plugged in for about 30 minutes now and it says it's at 69%. The case has kind of a black matte finish. It's very light weighing just over 3 lbs I think. The back lighting on the keyboard is awesome. My understanding is it has two settings for brightness although I've not confirmed that yet. The mouse pad is really good. Usually I use my mouse it's wireless with the USB connector. But for the first time ever I may not do that. Previously all the laptops I've owned over the years I have just shut the pad off on the laptop itself and again like I said use my wireless USB mouse. The mouse pads always felt really sloppy to me but this does not. This is a good size pad yet was plenty of room left on either side and it has five keys on it so I will see what that's all about. It didn't take long to set up at all no hiccups no issues it just thank me for my patience and went through the whole spiel and then was ready to go. I'm going to see if I need to update drivers and if I need to update BIOS on it. So I'll come back in like a week and then I'll come back in like a month and just add to it and share how it's doing. Cuz that's the real test longevity. I will be on the lookout for the bottom of the laptop to get hot. Also I'll be checking to make sure the charger doesn't heat up. It's interesting along with the pictures there's one that I sent and I just cropped it real thin and if you look at it it says exactly what I got renewed and then underneath that over to the left it says "NEW" so I'm not quite sure what that is about interesting I have heard they on these business computers with Dell and others they send them out and it's possible that they're not even taken out of the box or they're taking out the box but they never used anyway interesting. So just recapping it came on time, really packed nicely, battery charger excellent condition, the laptop looks to be an excellent condition, the mouse pad is easy to use, the back lighting on the keys is great, it's lightweight and it didn't take very long to set up. At this point I am very happy the real test is going to be how long the battery will last. One of the reasons I picked this company was because if you scroll through and it gives you the particulars or specs at the bottom of those particulars it says battery life "8 hours". I thought that was pretty bold to actually put a number in and commit to it. I'm anxious to see how long it lasts. I hope the review helps.

Works very well. Bottom of the line for Dell. Don't buy if you need to add Larger hard drive or more RAM. Otherwise good

I have had great success with all of my renewed or refurbished items. I returned this laptop only because it did not have a backlit keyboard, which was the feature I bought it for. When it arrived and I discovered this, I went back to the item description and it had changed and did not advertise a backlit keyboard anymore, but in the Q & A section, it was affirmed that it did. Someone who wrote the ad discovered this and changed it. The mistake was inconvenient, but I'm not taking off stars because a review is about the product, not my personal back and forth about it.At that time 8 months ago (1/23), the price was $255, so if you don't need a lit keyboard and at its current price ($144), I would buy it. I bought basically the same thing, since the model numbers don't mean a lot. I use it in the dark a lot, so I needed that lit keyboard. I paid a little more, but the other specs are the same and I'm using it right now. Mistakes and confusion happens sometimes. It makes things better when those things don't happen. My experience with the renewed items I have purchased such as my Dell laptop and my Samsung phone is positive. They are like-new, blazing fast and I highly recommend them.

Final Update, 8 30 24 ;I bought this laptop for ONE purpose, it is a duplicate ofmy 8 year old laptop, for emergency backup.After setting it up I kept it in it's original box and set it aside,checked 6wks + - later to make sure battery was still ok,the laptop locked me out, DELL was of no help, and the custservice number for this laptop didn't even pick up lol.So to salt the wound after wasting close to 9 hours totalon this project, I was charged about 20% restocking.80% of my purchases are through Amazon, I plan toonly buy prime from now on , no more 3rd partyrefurb items.Update/edit;I finally got it set up.After shutting down and trying the next day.One issue could be that I'd been prompted toreset me email password in yahoo, that wasa horrible mess, then my laptop kept tellingme that the pass was wrong, then all thesuper lame, tedious puzzles from the laptop'investigating' me as if I didn't own my ownlaptop. We should not need to go throughthe email hoops just to get started withour laptops.Now that the laptop is set up, it's just as goodas the E7450 that I'm using now, I put thenew one back in it's protective bubble packfor future use as an emergency/urgent back-upwhen/if my main laptop freezes or stops working.Wasted the entire afternoon with this laptop, still not set up,not even past my birthdate lol.Unbelievable frustration, it keeps having me solve puzzles,to make sure I'm not a robot trying to hack my own laptop,not even letting me set it up. Then when I use my emailit won't let me sign in saying I'm using the wrong password.Around and round in circles. Very , so not , happy.Can't send this back soon enough.The comical thing is that I have an earlier version ofthis E7450, I got this one as a emergency backup, lmao,good luck. Treating me like a criminal when I haven't evengotten it set up yet, and can't set it up AT ALL withoutgetting my email verified that it will not allow me to do.
