Exact replacement for Nest Yale YRD 540
Not only does it work with my 8 yr old Nest Yale lock YRD540, it works GREAT! Someone who shall remain nameless (ok, my teenaged son) slammed the door so hard so many times while the old bolt was still extended that it bent to the point of no return. Had to remove it just to close the door. And then? Amazon once again for the win! Overnight delivered this and installed in literally seconds. Just push it in. Sure itâs not the old rectangle screw into the wood recessed mounting collar but as you can see some simple wood patch to fill the area flush which I did last night to let it dry and it slid in easily. Now just some primer and paint and good to go.NB: Took a second to remember how to extend it for the longer 2žâ backset my front door has since it comes pre-set at 2â . A quick google search had the answer: push the black button on the bottom to disengage a locking pin and yank it out to the next indent.

Perfect Replacement for YRD540
I was hesitation about ordering this as it doesn't list my specific Yale lock model in the description, but after seeing another review with my same lock model, I went ahead and gave it a try and I'm glad I did! It was a perfect replacement for my Yale x Nest YRD540. I was more affordable than I'd thought it'd be and it works great. No complaints here!

To make this fit for YTD226 you need to swap the sheath
The latch doesnât come with latch plate. To use this product for YRD226, you need to use your old sheath that has the attached latch plate onto this new latch. Itâs easy to swap.

Product exactly as described. It fit perfectly for my Yale lock. Very affordable for anyone. Easy installation. Works fantastically. I would recommend anyone trying this out before buying a whole new $300 lock.

Great for smart home lock!
This is the piece that I needed to complete my Yale Smart home lock system.

It didnt fit the Yale Lock
I ordered it for the Yale Assure Lock II and it didnt fit. Just return the whole lock to the hardware store. Not worth trying to figure out a defective part especially when sellers claim to sell a part that claims its compatible model but really isnt.

Worked like a charm!
For whatever reason my original deadbolt latch got messed up and it was hard to open, so I bought this and installed it in less than 10 minutes, and now the lock works smooth as butter again!

Works, Sort of
Ultimately I was able to fix my smart lock for $13⌠but the latch doesnât come with all the pieces you need, had to disassemble my old one and Rob parts to make it work
